Mr. Spearman I have a question first, isn't the majority of the population in the places that grant same sex marriage. What I am seeing is that the people who have been confined from the outer public have kept their thoughts close with God bu my question is how did these sections of America become like this. The people who are on the coast of the country seem to have their ideas on the same sex marriage. If all of the states that are doing this are from the coast then wouldn't they have been influenced by the aliens from other countries.
ReplyDeleteMr. Spearman,
ReplyDeleteWhat I am seeing on the map is that the smaller amount of states that are accounted for, the more laws they have that are different than other states. I'm not sure, but in my opinion, I have to believe that maybe 50 years ago more than half of the states (that aren't already) probably were dark maroon. In class didn't you say that about 79% of Americans were Christians? If they declare themselves as Christians than surely they must have Christian values, which means that there is another element that is causing these laws to be passed (or not to be passed in some of the cases). I agree with the Reformation in Responsibility. Clearly, the voice of the people isn't being heard if 79% of the citizens are against same sex marriages and they are still occurring. This is not the kind of government the citizens of the United States voted for. If really the only opinions that are being taken into account are the ones of the elected, then what kind of democracy is this?
