  1. In this article, I agreed with the fact that people should "embrace diversity" but honestly, does Starbucks really think that most of the people in America are gay? Obviously not. Schultz shouldn't demand that shareholders who support traditional marriage over gay marriage find another company to support. Starbucks should show their enthusiasm for diversity in other things other than gay marriage. The first reason is because there is never going to be MORE gay people than straight people or else the world population would die out. Therefore, Starbucks is and will always be catering to more straight people than gay people until they go out of business (probably for showing diversity to the wrong things). Secondly, there are a ton of other things to be diverse about: culture, nationality, gender, age, religion, etc. Fine, if they want to support gay marriage they can, but the shouldn't ask people who prefer traditional marriage to go away because eventually all their CUSTOMERS will go away.

  2. I'm quite surprised at how much the support for gay marriage has increased for the last 10 years. It quite disgusts me. Never have i thought that i would come up to the point where people actually stand up for what is completely wrong and or contradictory to the Bible. I realize what Starbucks wants to do is to reach out to not only the majority, but the minority, which in some cases, i agree with. However, I think Starbucks can do a better job in reaching these minority groups by other approaches such as age groups, interests, etc. Though the concept of accepting everyone for who they are is good, I honestly think Starbucks could have done a better job to represent those who aren't represented.
